GoLdeN MooN

Taking On a New Project.

I was inspired a few weeks back to take on
the task of painting my living room.
When Dave and I bought this house
in early September 2009,
all the walls were painted in
(cheap) nasty white:(
I knew it was going to take some time
to get our rooms the way we
liked them.
I figured what the hell,
let's start with our living room.
It's the room we see the most.

Dave and I wanted a FUN and cheery color
for this room.
And we already had in mind a color for the kitchen
before we picked out the living room colors.
I knew I had some coordinating to do.
So I went off to the store to
grab some swatches.
Right away the color Golden Moon
seemed to be the fit.
(Our kitchen is next, with the color Carmel Cream)

Inspirations.

I had a few inspirations in deciding this
final color.
My first was a painting I painted this past winter.

Notice this picture is of a lovely
harvest MOON.
Seems to be the right choice in choosing a
color called Golden Moon!
It's fate.
I am convinced.
lol!

Also, I heart the color yellow,
always have.
I knew our living room had to
be a shade of yellow.
It had to match our soon to
be painted kitchen (which is to be a shade of orange).

So...I was at the market the other day...
...and picked up a bouquet of cheery sunflowers!
Anther great inspiration of the type
of yellow I want!

A Closer Look.

In a few minutes I will be going back
to the task of completing the painting job.
Mind you,
Day 3.
No one said this shit was easy!
But I would like to share with you some
of the pictures I took along the
way of this painting adventure!
Lots of sweat and hard work really pays
off in the end!
This is my first room painted
that I conquered for my own home.
In the past I have painted other peoples rooms.
But this is for Dave and me,
so it's special and extremely rewarding!
Oh the simple joys of home owner ship:)
Take a look...

And this is what I am off to do now...

Wish me luck!
I will post more photos
when we take on ripping the carpets out in this
room, after the white trim is complete:)
Tootles:)

Best wishes,
kimmie

Treasury Fun.

I have been open for business in my Esty shop
since early February.
It's been a fun journey so far!
But when I have the time one of my fav
things to do is come up with Treasury Lists.

Treasury Lists are:
 An ever-changing, member-curated shopping gallery.
It allows people look at groupings of
some of Esty's fine products for sale.
If your the creator of these fun lists,
it also helps out your business by
getting your shops name out there more.
And it's a fun way for Estians to meet one another
online!

Check out a few of my best Treasuries:)

Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Morway

Best Couple Ever.

July 3rd 2011
Columbus Ohio

What a wonderful way to spend our fourth of July weekend.
My dear cousin
Chrissy Morway
was married to his long time fiance
Angela Reed.
What a stunning couple.
Just a breathtaking wedding and reception.
One of the most amazing weddings
I personally
have EVER been too.
I wish I had more pictures of this
memorable event,
but unfortunately
my camera was being stupid.
(I blame my camera:)
lol.
Maybe it was that I had a few too many
Changela's that evening.

This is Chrissy and Angela's signature drink.

(the pink drink to the left in the martini glass)

Non-the-less, the ballroom looked extremely elegant.
All light up with wonderful lighting, rose pedals, and flowers.

(the head table)

(and yes, I took a pic of the ceiling!)

Dave and I was fortunate to meet some awesome new friends
along the way.
It was nice too,
cause we only new my family.
I always enjoy meeting new characters.
And Carol was just that!

(p.s. table 9 was the best)

Best weekend this summer by far!
Thank you to all the Morway family
for inviting Dave and I.
It was a blessing.
And an honor to be there on Chrissy and Angela's
big day:)

CHEERS TO MR AND MRS MORWAY
May you have many years of happiness!

(the night before..lol)
