We all know that I have been
running a vintage shop called
since late February 2011.
I believe I have had a lot of success
for a beginner Estian.
My revenue is $245.14.
Not too shabby for some extra cash;)
(all profit too)
Although, I have bigger and higher
expectations rolling into my second year
at Etsy.com,
I have had many wonderful
challenges and experiences along the way so far.
One particularly stands out recently.
I sold these BEAUTIFULLY colored
Melmac set of three tea cups to a lovely
man in Blacksburg, VA.
We emailed back in forth for about a week,
chatting friendly to each other about the sale
and it's arrival time.
George promised a picture of the sold item upon
it's arrival to his VA home,
so I could see where these vintage tea cups
would lay to rest finally.
(in their new home:)
Here is the most wonderful photograph I was sent a few
days back:)
Ughhh.
Looks like this should be in a magazine!
And not only did my Etsy costumer take the time
to shoot this picture for me...
but he also explained that his mother had
the EXACT set of Melmac tea cups,
while he was growing up.
So his purchase from my shop was
a nostalgic one")
My favorite!
These are the types of experiences that make
my shop all the more meaningful.
People reaching out to one another,
telling stories and sharing thoughts and ideas.
Just gives me a little more hope in man kind
through all the craziness and madness out there in
our sad world today.
