KeeP BuSy:)

Polyps (lol).
For those of you who know me,
I just recently (last Weds.October 19th)
underwent two sinus surgeries.
One for my polyps AND the other to correct my septum...
OWCH!
Very painful and pretty major.
It's the biggest surgery I have experienced
in my 28 and 1/2 years of existence.
It wasn't fun non-the-less.
:(
And now that the first half of the surgery is over
I am stuck to my house,
with limited activities am I able to do.
I can't even bend over to tie my freaking shoe,
to give you an example!
wah!
<I hate the feeling of being so helpless:(>
And the surgery it's self didn't go as planned.
I lost too much blood on the first side,
they had to stop three hours in.
Now I have to face the same surgery,
yet again,
next month!
FML!
But at least I know what to expect this time around.

Crafts.
Prior to surgery Dave and I when to the craft store to stock up
on many different crafties I would be able to keep myself busy with
for my looong week off of work!
I got scrap book supplies:)

I also got a ton of different types of felt, new needles, ribbons,
and thread:)

I plan on getting lots of Christmas stocking suffers made this coming up week.
I already have dived right in.
Last Thursday and Friday I think I may have sewn
just about the entire day and night straight through!
Check out my latest bird banner:)

Pretty cute right?
I like it.
It stretches pretty long and it's double sided:)
YAY!
I also got a nice start on a few gifts for some of my loved ones:)

Chubbs all hand stitched.
Takes about two hours to accomplish one of these fat little guys:)
Much love goes into them<3

 Side Note.
I got this bird pattern before my wedding in 2009
and made these creatures for my maid
of honor and brides maids.
They were just a little add to their gift bags:)
All the birds I made were of the girls favorite colors and I tried
to match up their personalities in them as well<3
The pattern was bought off of Etsy.
The shop is called ThePaperShed.
Click on the link below:)
Excellent pattern.
I modified it a bit to make it more my own.
And since I don't own a sewing machine (yet),
these birds have a more authentic look to them!

Back to Business.
I also have a smaller pattern of these birds
and decided to try a new approach to them.
Christmas tree ornaments!
YES!
Smaller birds, without feet
that float chubby-like in your tree by a ribbon!
Why the heck not!!!???
I think they came out darling!
I also changed up the beak:)

I think have a good handle on staying pretty busy this week:)
I have a great check list as well!
I would like to accomplish most of this...

  • 1. Work on adds for Etsy shop
  • 2. More Etsy Treasury lists <to promote my shop>
  • 3. Get a GOOD start on scrap book for 2011.
  • 4. Find more excellent recipes to put in my recipe box.
  • 5. Make new chicken noodle soup recipe
  • 6. Work on new paintings.
  • 7. More ornaments to make.
  • 8. Send out invites to Dave's party.
  • 9. Thank you cards for all the gifts and visits I have gotten the last week:)
  • 10. Carve pumpkins!

So there you have it!

Fortunate.
I have all these lovely activities to keep me sane
and get me through this recovery!
I also have wonderful company too!

Henry was hiding somewhere so I couldn't capture his
assents!
LOL!
But these four have been there for me all the way
these past five days.
I don't know what I would do with out them<3
Dave is just my heart.

And the other three...
Nubby
Otis
Hen...
haven't left my side.
I swear animals sense when your not your self:)
And for my mother-in-law,
Debby Boscoe,
I could not ask for a better one.
Look at all these cards...

Four out of nine of them are from her!
She sent me one in the mail every day
for support and comfort to get well soon!
Amazing.
And she has cooked soups and dinners for us,
made apple sauce, jello,
and bought me a new Hello Kitty card game to play!
She even played it with me!!!!

And Grandma Papineau,
thank you for the card too!
So sweet and thoughful<3
Last night Aunt Peggy came to visit and brought me this adorable gift:)
And a small craft to do:)
We had a blast catching up!
And my bestie Brianna Forte
came through too with chocolates, a card, and these...

BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you ladies<3
I tell you when things are tough you really do find out who cares about
you the most in life!
It's actually quite touching.
Thanks for all the love and support though all this DB, SB, JH, NM, DP, PB, JP, BF, MS,
AT, BD, DB, most of the Schoolhouse Staff:0) and all the others people
that went out of their way to make me smile:)
LOVE YOU GUYS!
